Embu County government has reshuffled County Executive Committee Members and chief officers of various ministries to improve service delivery.
Governor Martin Wambora said the changes are intended to revitalize the operations of the county government with a view to improving efficiency.
County Executive Committee Member for Health, Joan Mwende has been moved to Youth empowerment and sports.
Justa Wawira Kiura of Youth Empowerment, Sports, Gender, Children, Culture and Social Services will now head Gender, Children, Culture and Social services.
Lands, Water, Irrigation, Physical planning, Housing, Urban development and National resources department will now be headed by Josphat Kithumbu.
Acting County Committee Member and Chief Officer for Water and Irrigation, Richard Njiru Mbogo, becomes the Chief Officer for lands while Michael Njagi Ngoroi of Lands, Physical planning, Housing and Urban development takes the mantle of Physical planning, Housing and Urban development.
Chief Officers Jane Ndegi, Samuel Wachira, Albert Gatuta and Nicholas Kunga Ngeche remains in Gender, Children, Culture and Social Service, Youth empowerment and sports and Environment and Resources respectively.
The officers affected have been asked to ensure a smooth handing /taking over with minimal interruption to normal operations.
The governor said that his resolve to leave a legacy is unstoppable and that his administration will ensure service delivery is improved.
